Training and Certification Policy
Purpose of Certification
Pet Emergency Academy LLC (“Company”) develops and administers educational training programs in animal CPR, first aid, emergency response, wellness, and related subject matter. Certification issued by Pet Emergency Academy LLC signifies only that an individual has successfully completed the course requirements and met the assessment standards established by the Company at the time of completion.
Certification confirms course completion and demonstrated understanding of the material presented. It does not certify, guarantee, or warrant an individual’s competence, proficiency, judgment, or ability to perform any skills in real-world situations.
Certification is based solely on satisfactory completion of required coursework and assessments according to the Company’s grading system.
Scope of Certification
Certification obtained through Pet Emergency Academy LLC:
Does Not Confer Licensure or Professional Credentialing
Certification does not grant licensure, professional designation, medical authority, veterinary authority, or legal authorization to diagnose, treat, prescribe, or perform regulated services. Courses are educational in nature and are not a substitute for formal veterinary or medical training.
Does Not Authorize Teaching or Representation
Certification does not qualify an individual to teach, reproduce, distribute, license, or represent any course content as their own, nor to act as an instructor or representative of Pet Emergency Academy LLC unless separately authorized under a formal instructor agreement.
Does Not Guarantee Employment or Advancement
Certification is an acknowledgment of course completion only. Pet Emergency Academy LLC makes no representation or guarantee regarding employment opportunities, job placement, promotions, compensation increases, professional recognition, or acceptance by third-party organizations. Employers and institutions independently determine whether to recognize the certification.
No Guarantee of Performance
Certification does not guarantee correct, safe, or effective application of knowledge or skills in any circumstance. Real-world performance depends on numerous variables, including situational factors, experience, judgment, and environmental conditions.
Pet Emergency Academy LLC does not warrant that any participant will consistently or satisfactorily apply the information learned. Certification reflects exposure to and assessment of course content only.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pet Emergency Academy LLC, including its owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, and volunteers, disclaims all liability for any injury, loss, damage, or claim arising from:
• The use or misuse of course information
• The application or attempted application of skills
• Actions or omissions by certification holders
• Decisions made in emergency or non-emergency situations
This limitation applies to any harm or damage involving individuals, animals, or property.
Participants accept full responsibility for how they choose to use or apply the information provided.
Participant Responsibility
Certification holders are solely responsible for ensuring that their actions remain within the bounds of their education, experience, and legal scope of practice. Participants are encouraged to seek professional veterinary or medical assistance when appropriate.
Acknowledgment of Terms
By enrolling in and completing a course, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Certification Policy. Participants accept responsibility for the application of all knowledge and skills learned.
Modifications
Pet Emergency Academy LLC reserves the right to modify this Certification Policy at any time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
