Registration, Purchase, and Refund Policy
Animal Care and Wellness Institute is an educational initiative of Pet Emergency Academy LLC (“the Company”), which administers its courses, certifications, educational programs, and product purchases.
This policy applies to online courses, digital educational materials, textbooks, activity books, educational sets, first aid kits, and packages purchased through Animal Care and Wellness Institute.
Acceptance of Terms
By registering for a course or purchasing a product, the purchaser agrees to this policy. Purchasers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions, prices, age recommendations, course requirements, access periods, and shipping information before completing a purchase.
For students under 18, a parent, guardian, or authorized purchasing organization is responsible for reviewing and accepting these terms.
Online Courses and Digital Materials
Online course registrations and digital material purchases are final and nonrefundable once the purchase is completed, except for the specific circumstances described in this policy or as required by applicable law.
Refunds are not provided for a change of mind, accidental selection of a course, failure to begin or complete a course, scheduling conflicts, or dissatisfaction with the independent learning format.
Courses are self-paced and on-demand. Students complete them independently, without live instructor interaction. Purchasers should confirm that this learning format is appropriate for the student before enrolling.
Course registrations and account access may not be shared with other individuals.
Course Access and Completion Deadlines
Unless the individual course description specifies otherwise, online courses must be completed within 30 days of purchase. The access period begins on the purchase date, rather than the date the student first logs in.
Purchasers are responsible for ensuring that students can access their accounts and complete all required lessons, quizzes, and other requirements before access expires.
Certificates are issued only after the applicable course completion requirements have been satisfied.
Failure to complete a course before expiration does not qualify for a refund.
Extension Requests
In cases of extenuating circumstances, a purchaser may request an extension by emailing support@animalcareandwellnessinstitute.com at least seven calendar days before the original course expiration date.
Requests must include:
The student’s name
The order number
The course title
The reason for the requested extension
Extensions are considered individually, are granted at the Company’s discretion, and are not guaranteed. An extension is effective only after the Company provides written approval.
If a course expires without an approved extension, the course must be repurchased to restore access. Verified Company-related access problems will be handled as described below.
Technical and Account Access Problems
Purchasers should promptly report login problems, missing enrollment information, or other course access issues to support@animalcareandwellnessinstitute.com.
Include the order number, student’s name, a description of the problem, and screenshots when available. Do not send account passwords.
The Company will work to resolve problems involving its accounts, enrollment system, or course platform. When a verified Company-related problem prevents course access, the Company will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include restored access, additional completion time, or a refund if the purchased course cannot be provided.
Purchasers are responsible for having a compatible device, reliable internet access, and the ability to view online course materials. Problems arising solely from a purchaser’s equipment or internet connection do not automatically qualify for a refund or extension.
Physical Products
Purchases of textbooks, activity books, educational sets, first aid kits, and other physical products are final. Returns or exchanges are not accepted for a change of mind, ordering the wrong item, or deciding that a product is no longer needed.
This does not limit remedies for damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing items, or any rights required by applicable law.
Damaged, Defective, Incorrect, or Missing Items
Please inspect physical products promptly upon delivery.
Report damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing items to support@animalcareandwellnessinstitute.com within 14 calendar days of delivery. Include the order number, a description of the issue, and photographs of the product and packaging when applicable.
Keep the product and packaging until the Company provides instructions. Do not return an item without prior authorization.
After reviewing the issue, the Company will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include replacement of an affected item, shipment of a missing item, or a refund for an item that cannot be supplied or replaced.
When a return is required because of a verified product defect or Company fulfillment error, the Company will arrange or cover the necessary return shipping.
If an entire shipment has not arrived, contact the Company promptly so that the shipment can be investigated.
Packages Combining Courses and Physical Products
Some educational packages include online course access, digital resources, and physical products.
The online and digital portions are subject to the online course and digital material provisions of this policy. Physical items are subject to the physical product provisions.
A problem involving one component will be addressed through an appropriate remedy for that component. It does not automatically qualify the entire package for a refund.
Shipping and Delivery
Shipping charges and estimated delivery information are provided during checkout or in the applicable product description.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed. A shipping delay does not automatically qualify an order for a refund. Orders that cannot be delivered or fulfilled will be reviewed individually, subject to applicable law.
Purchasers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Additional shipping charges may apply when an order must be reshipped because of an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the purchaser.
If an order is returned as undeliverable, contact the Company to arrange the next steps.
Billing Errors and Orders We Cannot Fulfill
The Company will review reports of duplicate charges, incorrect charges, and orders that it cannot fulfill.
Verified duplicate or incorrect charges will be corrected. If the Company cannot provide a purchased course or product, the purchaser will receive a refund for the unavailable item or may agree to an alternative.
These exceptions do not create a general cancellation or satisfaction guarantee.
Approved Refunds
Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method, subject to the requirements of the payment processor or educational funding program.
The Company will confirm the approved amount and processing details by email. The time required for funds to appear depends on the financial institution, payment processor, or funding program.
Arkansas EFA and Other Educational Funding Programs
Purchases made using Arkansas Education Freedom Account (EFA) funds or another educational funding program are subject to this policy and the applicable program’s requirements.
Any approved refund involving program funds will be processed through the applicable funding or payment system. Funds will not be paid directly to a parent, guardian, or student when prohibited by program rules.
Required payment corrections or returns of funds will be handled in accordance with the applicable program’s requirements.
Families are responsible for confirming purchase eligibility and obtaining any required authorization. Participation as an approved vendor does not guarantee that every product or course qualifies for funding or reimbursement.
Purchases Made for Another Person
A parent, guardian, school, employer, or organization purchasing on behalf of a student or other participant is responsible for providing accurate registration information and communicating the applicable requirements and deadlines.
Purchasing on another person’s behalf does not change the refund terms or extend the course access period.
Changes to This Policy
The Company may update this policy periodically. Changes to purchase and refund terms will apply to purchases made after the updated policy is published, unless a change is required by law or an applicable educational funding program.
Applicable Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
